Mardaani 3 arrives on Netflix
Netflix officially confirmed the release of Mardaani 3 on its platform on March 27, announcing it with the message: “Criminals ke bure din shuru. Sherni aa rahi hai shikaar karne!” The crime thriller, directed by Abhiraj Minawala and produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films, stars Rani Mukerji reprising her role as SSP Shivani Shivaji Roy.
The film, which released theatrically on January 30, 2026, follows the officer as she investigates the disappearance of 93 young girls, uncovering a human trafficking network tied to illegal medical experiments.
On review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, 60% of 10 critics’ reviews are positive. NDTV’s Saibal Chatterjee awarded the film 3.5 stars out of 5, writing that Mukerji delivers “a power-packed, unblemished star turn that should rank among the finest of her 30-year acting career.” The Indian Express’s Shubhra Gupta was less impressed, awarding 2 out of 5 stars and noting that Mukerji “can’t do much with the degree of over-writing and predictable plot-points.”
