Diljit Dosanjh has officially joined the cast of the highly anticipated film Border 2, which also stars Sunny Deol and Varun Dhawan. The Punjabi singer-actor shared an announcement video on social media, saying “Pehli goli dushman chalaega aur akhri goli hum” (The first bullet will be fired by the enemy and the last by us).
Diljit expressed his honor to be part of such a powerful team and walk in the footsteps of India’s soldiers. Border 2 is a sequel to the 1997 blockbuster Border, which was directed by JP Dutta and featured an ensemble cast including Jackie Shroff, Suniel Shetty and Akshaye Khanna.
The sequel will be directed by Anurag Singh and is expected to commence filming next month. It is scheduled for release on January 23, 2026.
